1963 Split Window Corvette

The Corvette C2 is one of the most iconic Corvettes ever made, the design and performance greatly enhanced over previous models, virtually saving the Corvette from discontinuation. It was also the first Corvette Coupe. This particular example is one of the most rare, offering factory air and the factory installed Powerglide automatic transmission and Kelsey-Hays two-bar knock-off wheels. The car is virtually original in all aspects and comes with only 27,100 miles.
Aston Martin North America Brings Timothy Raines’ Art to Amelia Island Concours
Aston Martin North America invited and hosted artist Timothy Raines to showcase three Aston Martin themed works over the three days of their private and public events held at the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance. The works were displayed prominently next to their recently revealed 4-door Rapide and the flagship DB9 convertible on Sunday during the main Concours event.
The event resulted in several sales of art and Aston Martin automobiles at the event as well as follow on purchases from collectors of these two different but equally impressive types of art. The three artworks displayed by Timothy Raines were “Motherland”, a painting of the British Flag (commonly called ‘Union Jack’), the Aston Martin Logo and a Nautilus Shell that is a commonly recognized symbol for perfection, The Divine Proportion and the Universal Creative Power and happens to be the symbol chosen by Aston Martin to represent the Rapide.
